Griffin Bell Golf COURSE
Griffin Bell Golf Course is run by Southwestern State University. They are named after the former US Attorney General who was born in their county of Sumter, Georgia.
They wanted wanted to have a mark that read as a golf logo, but also pay homage to their namesake, Judge Griffin Bell. The result was a golf green with a flag pole casting the shadow the their county's significant history. The gavel shown as a shadow solved the problem of a viewer assuming the logo was more about law than golf. |
